Deadlines

There is no application submission deadline, as applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Three-year cycle

The Program of Distinction designation is a three-year designation.  Every three years, designated facilities would re-apply to become re-designated.

Re-applying

If a facility or system does not pass the application phase, recommendations will be given identifying areas for improvement.  Facilities are encouraged to implement recommendations and re-apply.  A discounted re-application rate will be provided.

If a facility or system receives an onsite assessment but does not receive the Program of Distinction designation, a list of recommendations will be provided identifying areas for improvement.  Facilities are encouraged to implement recommendations fully and re-apply.  A discounted re-application rate will be provided.
